The promise of a future.. possibility and probability

 I figured.. of all the carrots that the spouses/partners and the bosses throw at you- one interesting carrot is playing around what you want.

Let;s say you really need a house.

Bosses will keep throwing house carrots at you- "slog now and you might just get that bonus in the coming year". And you get suckered. Possibility- nil.

Partners could probably say- "honey, focus on the now. who knows when we can get that house- maybe in an year or so- but no one can predict". Probability- almost 0.

I mean 100% marks for logic. 

But my head? Between all the carrot dangled at me- I am sipping mango juice. Without sugar. And with lots of ice.
