The truth that we will all refuse to see or accept is the fact that once we know everything about the other person, we essentially will get bored enough.
Why? Picture this. You have collected enough data about this person including their reactions, likes, dislikes, positives, perceived negatives etc. You have so much data now that you can predict and the more time you spend with a person, the more you know about them. And the more you are able to predict them. Exactly like an AI engine- More data, more accurate predictability.
And once anything becomes predictable, then nothing else is as interesting anymore. The curiosity to understand or be compassionate or kind for that person totally diminishes.
Ever thought?? Like an old friendship. We will say the right things. The things other person wants to hear - because you know how they will predict otherwise. And because you dont have patience anymore to sit with them and debate. Because- you have concluded that we either wont improve (think historic patterns) or we are just the way we are because of who we are.
This is my theory. And these days I am totally trying to test it and more often than not in many cases, I have been successful with my predictions. :-) :-)
