This joke is a private one. The one which gets me some amusement. Its like a template. See the steps to make a joke out of candle.
1. Wait for a disaster to happen (Mostly man made, can be natural at times).
2. Disaster has to bring in some elements of sensation, meaning there should be atleast half a victim who has to either battle for life or lose the battle. Oh, we dont need to bother if there is survival.
3. We need to do some bashing so we can get more candles.
4. The more candles, the merrier.
5. We need to involve all forms of media including word of mouth.
6. Most important step is this has to be timely, else the fun is lost. Decide a time and date.
7. Cook this up for around 3 days so everybody gets attention and watch the candles flickering and dancing.
8. Are you smiling now? Not yet? Go back to the first line of my post and re do the whole process. Dont worry. Try hard till you succeed. We have no dearth of disasters. Joke is definitely there.
You just have to learn to be amused. If you get the joke, you will laugh till you cry. Disaster is dead, long live the candle.
