The sound of a sniffing child draws me to the origin of the sound. My eyes unmistakably stumble upon the tears. The fear clearly etched on her face and crouched body. Her body looked well guarded by the position she took.
She fears no darkness. Knows not death. She liked chocolates like most other kids. She usually disliked school. Fussed over food at home. Loved the pink dress. Like most other kids did.
She hated the devil that refused to go away during playtime. Most other kids did not know.
